Diane's Invitation to EARTH Woman:

As I age, I find the energy and focus it takes to maintain health and hardiness
alarming. The loss seems to be exponential to the quickly passing years.
Although my goal is to live to be at least 90, I would like those next 35 years to
be filled with all the things I enjoy….travel, family, playing with my partner, and
breathing the crisp, cold air of the Rocky Mountains. The realization that those
years will need to have some focused attention on taking care of me has been
slow in coming because I always thought I needed to do it alone. My mother tells
me my first words were "by myself" and so I have habits wired tightly into my
foundation. The most successful I have ever been in my life were when I worked
with a team; whether for weight loss, rehabilitation from surgery, supporting my
family, gaining my coaching certification, or attaining my graduate degree. In the
past decade, I have brought wonderful people into my life who love and support
my every effort, so why not the effort towards sustainable health. In my 55th year,
I have decided to make the choice to become very intentional about my
sustainability. For me, sustainability extends to an active passion for taking care
of our Mother Earth and using her gifts to support my hardiness. That means
changes in every aspect of my life; if it does not support my sustainability, I will
not do it. I expect that my advisory team will need to remind me of this frequently
because of those still very tangible wires I have to do it "by myself". I invite you
to come on this journey and partner with EARTH Women. Our BHAG (Big Hairy
Audacious Goal): Let's celebrate our 90th birthdays together.
